Product Updates - July 2026

Archive Event Group Chats

Admins can now formally close event group chats after an event ends while keeping the full conversation history accessible.

What’s New?

Admins can archive any event group chat directly from the context menu on both the Event page and the Scheduling page.

Archiving a chat closes active messaging while preserving all past messages, shared files, and media for future reference.

Why It Matters

Once an event wraps up, active chat channels can become cluttered or stay open indefinitely. Archiving allows team communication to remain clean and organized after an event ends, while ensuring past shift context and chat records are never lost.

Global Search Across Settings

Admins can now search across all Settings in the Settings Manager to find any control instantly without navigating through tabs.

What’s New?

A magnifier button is now available at the right end of the Settings tab bar. Clicking it or using the keyboard shortcut ⌘K (Mac) / Ctrl+K (Windows) anywhere in Settings - opens the global search palette.

You can search by typing any setting name, section, or tab (for example, "overtime", "Localization", or "photo verification").

Search results display:

  • The full path breadcrumb (Tab › Sub-page › Section)

  • The current state or value (e.g., On / Off / value / "Per branch")

Selecting a result automatically jumps you to the exact setting - opening the correct tab and section, scrolling the setting into view, and briefly highlighting its row.

Why It Matters

Settings are spread across multiple tabs and sub-pages, and locating specific controls used to require extra clicking. This feature allows admins to jump from searching for a setting straight to its control in seconds.

Results are also fully permission aware - admins only see and access settings their specific role is authorized to reach.

Event Templates Now Support Attachments

Admins can now upload attachments directly to Event Templates. Whenever a new event is created using the template, the attached files are automatically copied into the new event.
This reduces repetitive work, keeps event documentation consistent, and helps ensure important files and instructions are not missed.

Help Desk and Shift Tasks are Now Available in the Business App

Admins can now manage both employee Help Desk tickets and Shift Tasks directly from the Business App.

The mobile Help Desk experience includes viewing and replying to tickets, adding internal notes and @mentions, uploading attachments, assigning and prioritizing tickets, snoozing conversations, resolving or closing tickets, reopening previous tickets, and using search, filters, and folders. All activity is fully synchronized with the Web Help Desk.

Managers can also view and complete employee Shift Tasks, search for employees, scan QR codes, and monitor task completion progress without assigning themselves as captains or switching to the Crew App.

Shift Tasks must be attached to the event before they can be managed through the Business App.

Weekly Preference and Recurring Availability Can Now Be Enabled Separately

Weekly Preference and Recurring Availability can now be enabled independently, giving employers greater flexibility in how employees share their availability.

Accounts can use:

  • Weekly Preference only

  • Recurring Availability only

  • Both options

Weekly Preference allows employees to submit their preferences for a specific week, while Recurring Availability allows them to define their ongoing availability.

To enable Weekly Preference, Recurring Availability, or both for your account, please contact Ubeya Support chat.

Faster Filtering in Live View

Status indicators on the Business App home page Live View are now clickable.

Managers can select a status to immediately filter the employee list, making it faster to focus on employees who are late, missing, or otherwise require attention.
