What are Sensitive Data Fields?
Sensitive Data Fields are Employee Profile fields that your organization chooses to protect with an additional access layer.
These fields are useful for employee information that should only be visible to specific authorized admins, such as highly confidential personal, HR, or compliance-related details.
Once an Employee Profile field is marked as Sensitive Data, Ubeya applies additional protections to that field across the platform.
Best practice
We recommend using Sensitive Data Fields for Employee Profile fields that contain information that should only be accessible to selected admins.
This may include confidential employee details, sensitive HR information, or data that your organization wants to protect as part of its privacy and compliance processes.
What happens when a field is marked as Sensitive Data?
When an Employee Profile field is marked as Sensitive Data:
Sensitive field values are automatically excluded from exports.
Sensitive field values are excluded from restricted APIs.
The field cannot be used in filters.
The field cannot be used in audience generators.
The field cannot be used in compliance configurations.
Sensitive field values are hidden from unauthorized admins in Recent Actions.
Important: only new fields can be marked as sensitive - and this action cannot be undone.
How to give admins access to Sensitive Data
To allow specific admins to view Sensitive Data field values, update their Admin Role permissions:
Go to Admin Management.
Open Admin Roles & Permissions.
Select the relevant Admin Role.
Enable the Sensitive Data Access permission.
Save your changes.
Admins assigned to this role will be able to view values in fields marked as Sensitive Data.
Please note: Only admins who have the Sensitive Data Access permission enabled in their Admin Role can view the values of fields marked as Sensitive Data.
Admins without this permission will not be able to view sensitive field values, even if they have access to the employee profile. They will still see the field name, but the value itself will be hidden.
