To better support how employees prefer to be represented, we’re introducing a new Optional Nickname (AKA) field. This allows team members to display their preferred name in the Ubeya App, while keeping their official legal name in the web system for admin view.
What’s Changing?
Admins can request from the Ubeya team to enable this new field in their account. After activation, you will be able to view it in Settings → Employee Fields → Nickname field.
Once activated, there will be a new field in employee profiles titled 'AKA'. Admins will now be able to input an employee's preferred name in this field, which will reflect in the Ubeya App.

Who Works With Me
Contacts
Schedule
Shift Swaps
And more
🔒 Important to Know
This nickname is optional - employees can choose whether to set one.
The nickname is for display purposes only. The employee’s official system name will remain unchanged and used in all admin-level areas.
