We’ve made it even easier to stay compliant with working time regulations - with less manual work and more automation.

What’s New?

In addition to setting custom Working Time Directive (WTD) rules manually, you can now apply WTD rules based on an employee’s age.

This means no more guesswork when assigning limits. Whether you’re managing underage workers or different age groups with varying rules, Ubeya does the heavy lifting.

How to Use It

  • Make sure each employee’s birth date is filled in on their profile

  • Navigate to Settings → Employee Profile → Working Time Directive

  • Select Rule Type: Age

  • Define WTD limits for specific age groups (e.g., under 18, 18–24, 25+)

Define Restrictions

When setting up WTD rules, you can choose between two enforcement types:

  • Block – Employees who have exceeded their allowed working hours will not appear as available for event bookings.

  • Flag – Employees will still be shown, but with an error mark next to their name to alert captains that the WTD rule has been triggered (See screenshot below).

Client View

Your clients will not see any Working Time Directive (WTD) indications.
Even if the supplier chooses to share an employee’s age, the client will only see the age - not any WTD status or warnings.

New Scheduling Visibility

All admins and captains - whether viewing internal or external employees - will now see an age-based indicator for the following age groups:

  • Under 18

  • Over 77

This makes it easier to manage event bookings with full awareness of age-related working rules.

This new feature ensures smoother operations and stronger compliance with youth and age-based labor regulations. Simple setup, powerful results.

Ubeya will take it from there — applying the right rules behind the scenes as you schedule shifts and approve timesheets.ֿ
