To better support how employees prefer to be represented, we’re introducing a new optional Nickname (AKA) field. This allows team members to display a preferred name in the Crew App, while keeping their official legal name in the web system for admin view.
What’s Changing?
Admins can enable this field by going to Settings > Employee Fields > Activate the Nickname field.
Once activated, there will be a new field in employee profiles titled AKA. Admins will now be able to input an employee's preferred name in this field, which will reflect in the Crew App.
employees’ nicknames will appear instead of their full names in various Crew App features, including:
QR Scans
Who Works With Me
Contacts
Schedule
Shift Swaps
And more

This nickname is optional — employees can choose whether to set one.
The nickname is for display purposes only. The employee’s official system name will remain unchanged and used in all admin-level areas.
